This week was a shortened week for our math class because of a field trip to the library and no school on Friday. The students worked hard and learned many skills and revisited some previously introduced material during the three days of math class.

The children are becoming more proficient at changing fractions to decimals, building equivalent fractions, and comparing fractions with different denominators. Children are also becoming stronger in their mental math skills, logical thinking, and estimating skills.

The students have increased their compass and protractor skills by drawing circles using a compass, and creating an equilateral triangle with only a line segment and a compass.

Next week:
All students need a compass and protractor
